Government strategy group, subsidiary of Womble Bond Dickinson, takes next step in growth.

BOSTON (May 6, 2025) – After the successful completion of a three-year commitment to launch and lead Womble Bond Dickinson’s Government and Public Affairs team (WBD Strategies), Jack McGlynn will transition from the role of President to Senior Government Executive. The move is bolstered by the announcement, that veteran lobbyist, Marty Nastasia will be the next President of WBD Strategies. 

Nastasia has served as Executive Vice President of WBD Strategies since 2021. Previously, he was a Director of the Government Law and Strategies group at Brown Rudnick, Director for State Relations in the Office of Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino and legislative aide to Senate Majority Leader Frederick E. Berry and Senator Therese Murray in her role as Chair of the Senate Committee on Ways and Means. Nastasia manages a broad portfolio of clients that include companies in the life sciences, technology, transportation, hospitality, and human services sectors. 

Nastasia said, “I am immensely grateful to have had the opportunity to work with and learn from Jack these last three years. He took a leap of faith by joining a large firm after three decades of running his own very successful lobbying business. Jack has laid a strong foundation for our continued growth. I am humbled and excited to take the reins and move WBD Strategies forward.” 

Colleen McGlynn and Beth Mullen will be promoted to Executive Vice-President, while, Paul Afonso, Chairman, Jed Nosal, Managing Member and Jesse Reyes, Senior Counsel round out the WBD Strategies team.

Under the new structure, Jack McGlynn will stay on to provide guidance and expertise to team members and clients.
