BOSTON—Womble Bond Dickinson’s Boston team hosted a dinner for UK business leaders exploring trade opportunities in the United States.

The trade mission is hosted annually by the North East England Chamber of Commerce’s Department for International Trade, and the 2017 class included emerging companies from the North of England, primarily from Manchester and Newcastle. In addition, firm clients and representatives of the British Consulate’s Office in Boston took part in the dinner, which was held Nov. 30 at Marliave in Boston.

Trade delegation participants either are looking to expand their US operations or increase distribution in the US.  This year’s participants included businesses in the technology, life sciences and professional services sectors.

Lawyers Sarah Keefe, John Cox, Danielle Herritt and Deb Vernon represented the firm at the dinner. In addition, Keefe and Mary Bourke had the opportunity to meet some of these UK delegates at a Nov. 28 welcome reception hosted by the British Consulate’s Office in Boston.
