CHARLOTTE - Jeff Hay, a partner in Corporate and Securities, was honored Thursday for his years of leadership and support of Charlotte-based non-profit LIFESPAN. LIFESPAN provides education, employment and enrichment to children and adults with developmental disabilities from facilities located from Waynesville to Burlington, North Carolina.  Hay has been involved with LIFESPAN for over 10 years, most recently serving as the Chair of the Board of Directors.

The organization honored Hay at its annual philanthropy luncheon, during which our firm’s Chair and CEO, Betty Temple, thanked Hay for his dedication to LIFESPAN before the 200 attendees.

Womble was the presenting sponsor for the event and Womble has strongly supported LIFESPAN over the years though pro bono services, board leadership, and its financial sponsorship.  Currently, Jill White of the Greensboro office and Patrick Strubbe of the Charlotte office serve on the Board of Directors.

As the name indicates, LIFESPAN provides support and services to individuals with disabilities throughout their lifetime.  Currently, LIFESPAN serves over 1,200 children and adults throughout North Carolina.  A link to LIFESPAN’S website where you can find more information is here: http://www.lifespanservices.org/.
