WILMINGTON, DE — Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Mary W. Bourke will lead a discussion of a significant Zoom patent trial at the Consero IP Virtual Forum for Life Sciences on December 7–8, 2020.
Bourke’s presentation, entitled “Lessons Learned from The First ZOOM Trial in the SDNY – A Case Study” will chronicle a case in which Womble Bond Dickinson earned a major patent victory for client Ferring Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in the first Zoom trial in the Southern District of New York during the pandemic. The 8-day trial in July 2020 was fully remote, with witnesses and counsel appearing via Zoom. The firm was recognized as a “Legal Lion” by Law360 for its significant win in this case.
