The Huntsville Office of Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP and CPA firm Anglin Reichmann Armstrong (a Frazier & Deeter Company) held an exclusive rooftop event in Huntsville, Alabama during the Space and Missile Defense Symposium. It was an evening of casual networking, drinks, and light bites in the terrace space at Womble’s new offices in Downtown Huntsville, offering a scenic view of downtown and Big Spring Park.
Womble Huntsville’s Rich Raleigh, David Lucas, Chris Lockwood, Jon Levin, Ginny Gibson, and Angela Ennis were joined as hosts at the event by Alan Enslen, Carri Bennet, and Patrice Howard (Womble D.C.), Josh Mullen and Joy Holloway (Womble Nashville), and Jamie Francis (Womble Greenville), as well as Will Patterson from Womble subsidiary Prescentus.
The SMD Symposium is the lead professional development and networking event in the space and missile defense community. It is widely attended by aerospace and defense leaders and professionals from the U.S. and U.S. allies around the world. The 3-day event in Huntsville, which ran from Tuesday, August 5 to Thursday, August 7 was attended by close to 10,000 people. A host of leading defense companies from around the world attended.
The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command in Huntsville at Redstone Arsenal is the U.S. Army’s space and missile defense warfighting headquarters. Gen. Stephen Whiting, commander of U.S. Space Command, and Lt. Gen. Sean Gainey, commander of the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command and Joint Functional Component Command for Integrated Missile Defense, are among the senior leaders who spoke. SMDC brings great value to warfighting and the criticality of space and missile defense for U.S. national security. The Golden Dome missile shield was in the spotlight at this year’s SMD Symposium.

Womble Huntsville’s reception was attended by nearly 200 clients, prospective clients, referring partners, local business leaders, and dignitaries.
