Preston Heard to Moderate “Damages and Willful Infringement” Session at Atlanta Bar Association IP SpringPosium

Womble Bond Dickinson Partner Preston Heard, the firm’s Patent Prosecution & Litigation Practice Group Leader, will moderate a panel discussion at the 19th Annual Atlanta Bar Association IP SpringPosium. WBD attorney Kate Johnson also will represent the firm at this event.
Preston's session will focus on “Damages and Willful Infringement” and recent developments in the law relating to IP damages. Joining him will be Kent & Risley LLC Founding Partner Steve Risley and Ballard Spahr LLP attorney Alan White, Ph.D. The Atlanta Bar Association IP SpringPosium takes place April 28-29 at Lake Lanier Islands.
Preston leads a Patent Prosecution & Litigation Practice Group that manages nearly 16,000 active patent matters. Each year, the team prepares and files approximately 2,000 patent applications globally. On the litigation side, WBD regularly advocates for clients and resolves disputes in federal courts, the ITC, and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board at the USPTO.
