BOSTON – Two Massachusetts government relations and public affairs teams joined forces today to launch Womble Bond Dickinson Government and Public Affairs. This new subsidiary brings together Jack McGlynn Jr. and Beth Mullen of McGlynn & McGlynn with Colleen McGlynn and Marty Nastasia, formerly of Brown Rudnick.

This group is set to make an immediate impact on the Beacon Hill lobbying landscape. Jack and Colleen McGlynn are a father and daughter duo who hail from a family with deep political roots in Massachusetts, while the trio of Marty, Beth and Colleen began their careers in public service in the office of former Senator Fred Berry, who passed away in 2018. The creation of Womble Bond Dickinson Government and Public Affairs also reunites Colleen and Marty with Jed M. Nosal who joined Womble Bond Dickinson as partner in March and will also be a member of the Government and Public Affairs team.

Combined, this team represents an impressive list of national and Massachusetts-based clients in various industries including, education, energy, transportation, healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing and gaming.

“Our clients doing business in Massachusetts are thrilled by this news,” said Sarah Keefe, Womble Bond Dickinson’s Boston Office Managing Partner. “Jack McGlynn is considered one of the most trusted and successful government relations practitioners in the Commonwealth. And Colleen, Marty and Beth are at the top of their game. WBD expects this to be a phenomenal opportunity to expand service to existing clients and develop new ones for this new team as well as our current attorneys through collaboration.”

“This new venture represents a great deal to me both professionally and personally,” Jack said. “I am proud of what Marty, Colleen and Beth have accomplished as professionals. I admire how hard they work for their clients and the strong character and creativity they bring to every situation. And it probably goes without saying that this moment is incredibly special to share with my daughter. Together, and with Jed and our new Womble colleagues we are excited to hit the ground running.”

Jack McGlynn has been a lawyer, lobbyist and government affairs consultant for more than 30 years.
