Michael E. Clark to Speak about “Navigating Change: The FCPA Under the Current Administration” at Texas Bar Association’s Annual Advanced Business Law CLE Event

Womble Bond Dickinson Senior Counsel Michael E. Clark will speak at the Texas Bar CLE’s 23rd Annual Advanced Business Law Course on November 6, 2025.
Michael’s presentation, entitled “Navigating Change: The FCPA under the Current Administration,” will address the recent Executive Order pausing Foreign Corrupt Practices Act enforcement in favor of U.S. economic and national security priorities. Clark will examine the risks facing multinational companies—particularly those with operations in Latin America and Europe —and offer insights on compliance trends, strategic risks, and emerging opportunities.
Michael is extensively published and frequently asked to present to professional groups. He is an accomplished litigator with years of experience in the federal government and subsequently in private practice. While an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Texas, he was a chief of its Financial Fraud Division and then the chief of its Criminal Division. Michael has served as lead counsel in over 100 jury trials and handled dozens of appeals. He represents clients in complex litigation, including civil False Claims Act cases and investigations, advises on regulatory compliance and corporate governance, and represents clients in internal investigations and trials. He is Editor-in-Chief of a treatise on Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Law Treatise published by Bloomberg/BNA Books and the ABA; Editor-in-Chief of a Corporate Criminal Liability Treatise published by Thomson Reuters; and the co-editor of a seven volume White Collar Crime treatise published by Thomson Reuters.
