Womble Bond Dickinson Partner Mark Tuft, the 2022 Harry B. Sondheim Professional Responsibility Award honoree, will be a featured speaker at the State Bar of California’s 26th Annual Statewide Ethics Symposium. The virtual event takes place Friday, April 21.
Presented by the California Lawyers Association, the Harry B. Sondheim Professional Responsibility Award recognizes long-term devotion to advancing attorney professional standards in the state.
Tuft is certified as a legal malpractice specialist by the California State Bar and represents clients on matters involving professional responsibility and liability. He served on various California State Bar Commissions and Task Forces on revisions to the Rules of Professional Conduct and multi-disciplinary practice, including the State Bar’s Task Force on Access Through Innovation of Legal Services. He is a former chair and special advisor to the California State Bar Committee on Professional Responsibility and Conduct and is a former president of the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers.
Currently, Tuft chairs the ABA Center for Professional Responsibility’s Editorial Board. He also is a co-author of the California Practice Guide on Professional Responsibility.
