Sarah Motley Stone spoke to Charlotte Business Journal about her new role as managing partner for the firm’s Charlotte office. Stone, who has been with the firm the entirety of her nearly 20-year career, is a highly respected litigator with deep connections in the local business community. 

“Womble is unique in Charlotte in what it can offer clients with its historical depth in the Carolinas and international growth with the merger with (Britain-based) Bond Dickinson,” Stone said. “And now there’s the growth into Houston, Nashville, Huntsville (Alabama), New York and our expansion in California in the past year.”

That makes the firm particularly well-suited to its large corporate clients with headquarters or major offices in Charlotte, she says. But it also offers a breadth of services to middle-market customers and even to startups with its experience with private equity. She says it is a “great strength to be able to meet our clients where they are.”
