Beth Tyner Jones to Speak on FLSA Overtime Changes at NCICU Chief Financial Officers Meeting

On October 23, Womble Bond Dickinson Partner Beth Tyner Jones will speak at the North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities Association’s Chief Financial Officers Meeting. Jones will provide an update on the new FLSA overtime regulations with an emphasis on specific compliance issues in higher education.  

NCICU is the association for all private, non-profit colleges and universities in North Carolina.  NCICU represents all 36 private higher education institutions in North Carolina. Womble has been a valued partner with NCICU for many years.  

Jones, who leads the firm’s Education and School Law Team, also serves in the Independent College Fund of North Carolina Advisory Board. The Board, which is associated with NCICU, supports student scholarship aid at NCICU colleges and universities.  Most recently, NCICU, through the Independent College Fund, has provided support for those institutions in western North Carolina hardest hit by Helene.
