New technologies ranging from biometrics to artificial intelligence and robotics to facial recognition are implemented increasingly by companies, both for internal and external (customer) purposes. As companies roll out new products and services based on these technologies or adapt new tools for use by their employees, what are the attendant privacy and security risks? We will explore legal issues arising out of how some of these emerging technologies are currently used and what does the future hold.  We will also address how US states and other governments have chosen to regulate some of these technologies and the implications of these regulations for companies.

Our panel of speakers will include Peter McLaughlin (Womble Bond Dickinson Boston) and Lavonne Hopkins (Johnson & Johnson).
