This event took place on January 26, 2022.

In December 2021, the Massachusetts Environmental Protection Act (MEPA) Office released final regulations and accompanying guidance implementing environmental justice principles as required by Chapter 8 of the Laws of 2021, An Act Creating a Next-Generation Roadmap for Climate Policy. These regulations and guidance are now in full effect.

Womble Bond Dickinson Partner Greg Sampson moderated a discussion with MEPA Director Tori Kim that focused on these nation-leading new requirements and their impact on commercial real estate in the Commonwealth. Attendees learned what's in the new regulations; how to navigate the update; received a preview of what is next for the MEPA regulatory review process; and had the opportunity to ask critical questions at the beginning of implementation. This presentation was hosted by NAIOP Massachusetts.
