Jennifer is a Legal Nurse Consultant with Womble Bond Dickinson’s Medical and Scientific Solutions team. Jennifer graduated from a clinically-intensive, diploma nurse program in 1995. Upon graduation, Jennifer entered a Critical Care internship at Wake Forest Baptist Health. Throughout the next 18 years, Jennifer continued working across several specialty areas of nursing and was licensed in four states including California, Virginia, and Washington, DC, where she worked at Georgetown University Hospital. In 2007, she obtained her Bachelors of Science in nursing degree from Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Virginia and in 2011, earned her Legal Nurse Consultant Certificate from North Carolina State University.
Jennifer utilizes her critical thinking skills attained through her numerous years of nursing experience on behalf of Firm clients. Jennifer relies on her diverse experience when analyzing medical records, identifying key defense points, and preparing medical case summaries. Jennifer has assisted legal teams in better understanding medical issues in the following industries: Tobacco, asbestos, and pharmaceuticals.
Jennifer joined the firm with in-depth experience with electronic health records (EHR), including being on the forefront of EHR development and implementation at Wake Forest Baptist Health. In addition to her analytical work related to medical records, she has helped create protocols for the analysis of medical expenses, pinpointing expenses unrelated to the claims at issue.

- Evaluated allegations and determined whether the dietary supplement at issue caused or contributed to the plaintiff’s alleged injuries, as well as analyzed opposing party Life Care Plans.
- Assisted in preparing Medical Mediation Assessments for RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co. for the mediation of numerous federal cases pending in Florida, which ultimately resulted in settlement of over 500 cases.
- Challenged the use of an extrapolation based on audit overpayments for an integrated healthcare system of seven hospitals and close to 100 physician and specialist offices in the Southeast.
