Jason’s practice is all about identifying and implementing sensible IP strategies and defenses. He provides clients with achievable steps for building and protecting Intellectual Property (IP) value within their budgets. He also equips clients with practical tools for increasing their own IP expertise and management both internally and in business dealings.
    
Clients enjoy having Jason as a single point of contact and counsel for obtaining IP protection, litigation strategies, and guidance in IP ownership and transactions. He especially enjoys the complex technical analysis of patent work and his role routinely puts him in close collaboration with technical client personnel and experts.
   
More specifically, Jason’s practice focuses on patent litigation and risk analysis complemented by strong experience in patent preparation and prosecution. He has drafted and prosecuted several patents asserted in litigation and seen the impacts each has on the other. Jason has developed valuable insights and best practices from what he has learned over nearly 20 years of practice. 
 
Inside Womble, Jason serves as co-chair of the Environmental Committee and IP Content Committee. Outside of work, Jason enjoys saltwater fishing and gardening. He does not play golf.
