James G. Thomas brings more than 40 years of experience in a wide range of civil and criminal litigation, with a particular focus on federal criminal defense. He is also highly experienced in appellate advocacy, having handled numerous appeals in both federal and state courts. Over the course of his distinguished career, Jim has earned wide recognition for his work. In 2018, he was named “Best of the Bar” in Criminal Law by the Nashville Business Journal, and he is consistently recognized by Best Lawyers® for his achievements in Appellate Practice, Commercial Litigation, and Criminal Defense: White-Collar.
As part of his trial and appellate work, Jim has been deeply committed to pro bono service, including capital defense cases.
