James Dority is a registered patent attorney with a focus on intellectual property litigation. Since he joined the firm, James has been involved in a variety of complex patent, trademark, and trade dress disputes. He has significant experience assisting clients defend their intellectual property rights both in district court proceedings and in proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He also has experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the chemical, electrochemical, and mechanical arts for a wide range of clients, including start-ups, universities, and Fortune 500 companies.

Prior to attending law school, James served as an engineering intern for General Electric’s Power division and as an extern for the USPTO in the Office of International Patent Cooperation.
