Harry is an experienced trial lawyer who regularly represents companies and individuals in the defense of class actions, shareholder disputes, securities matters and other proceedings in numerous federal and state jurisdictions. He has particular experience defending foreign companies, especially Chinese companies, that have been sued in federal court. In addition, Harry has represented numerous large banks and other financial institutions on a wide variety of subjects in litigation matters in New Jersey and New York federal and state courts. Notably, he successfully defended one of the country’s largest banks in a two-week federal trial in New York, securing a $38M verdict on the bank’s counterclaim.
A former Assistant U.S. Attorney, Harry has significant trial experience and experience handling corporate internal investigations, federal criminal matters and federal regulatory matters. He has represented companies and individuals in criminal and regulatory investigations and has successfully resolved criminal and regulatory matters being investigated by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Department of Justice (Criminal, Antitrust and Tax Divisions), different U.S. Attorney’s Offices and the Attorneys General of New Jersey and New York. Because of the nature of Harry’s work, many of his most successful matters have not resulted in public charges and remain confidential.
Harry is a former law clerk to Judge Victor Marrero of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Upon completion of his clerkship, he served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, where he personally handled and led criminal investigations and prosecutions, conducted trials in federal court to jury verdict and handled criminal appeals.
