Womble Bond Dickinson has again been recognized as a leading firm in Houston, earning a place in the City Focus - Houston category of Legal 500 Latin America’s 2027 edition. The guide also named José Luis Vittor, head of the firm’s Latin America practice, and Francisco Balduzzi as recommended lawyers, noting their recent work together advising on strategic disposals in the Argentine oil-and-gas sector, acquisitions in the mining and energy-services space and advising commodity traders and investors on financing for upstream projects in the Southern Cone.
Vittor and Balduzzi, along with other members of the LATAM Practice Team, advise international and U.S. companies doing business throughout the region, particularly in M&A, cross-border contracts, financing transactions, project development, regulatory matters, environmental issues, and international arbitration.
Legal 500 Latin America 2027 describes Womble’s Houston office as a central coordination hub for high-value energy and natural resources mandates across Latin America. Clients interviewed for the guide praised the firm’s personal approach, agility, and M&A know-how, with one client saying, “I love working with them because they produce excellent results but in less time and more efficiently.”
The 2027 edition marks Legal 500’s 15th year of publishing the Latin America guide, which ranks law firms and individual lawyers across Latin America, as well as international firms with active practices in the region, such as Womble Bond Dickinson. Rankings are based on independent market research, client interviews, and submissions from law firms.
