SAN FRANCISCO (April 27, 2026) – Womble Bond Dickinson is pleased to announce that the firm’s San Francisco office has relocated to a new office space at 50 California Street. The firm will occupy 20,100 square feet of completely renovated space on one full floor, representing a near doubling of the 10,500 square foot space the firm leased on a separate floor of the same building in early 2023.

“Our team has grown tremendously since we first established a presence in San Francisco,” said Christian Mammen, Office Managing Partner of Womble’s San Francisco office. “We are thrilled to move into a new space that was designed with innovative technology top-of-mind and that better supports our growing team’s needs. The opportunity to relocate to a full floor within the same building was an ideal outcome, allowing us to create a space that prioritizes collaboration and unique design elements while reaffirming our strong commitment to the heart of San Francisco’s financial district.”

The new office features include:

  • A common space with unobstructed views of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge.
  • A large meeting space accommodating up to 60 people, equipped with cutting-edge AV equipment and technology to support remote participation.
  • Flexible seating areas in the common space, designed for collaboration, informal meetings, and dining, and adaptable for receptions and events.
  • A tucked away kitchen that can function as a dedicated catering and event staging area.
  • Thoughtful design elements inspired by Bay Area culture and architecture, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to the city.

“This move in such a prominent business market comes at an exciting time as we celebrate the firm’s 150th anniversary this year,” said Merrick Benn, Chair and CEO of Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP. “Our commitment to ongoing growth in San Francisco is part of our broader firm strategy of expanding in major cities that drive innovation and technological change.”

Since a combination with Cooper, White & Cooper LLP in September 2022 that established the firm’s San Francisco presence, Womble has grown significantly from 18 attorneys at that time to 40 in San Francisco today. Womble has five offices across California, including an office that recently opened in San Diego, and a total of 32 offices in the US and 40 globally.
