(December 17, 2021) – Lewis Roca announced David Harrell has joined the firm as a Partner in the Intellectual Property Practice Group in Denver.
With close to 10 years of intellectual property law experience, Harrell focuses his practice on patent preparation and prosecution, infringement analysis, and global IP portfolio development. He has and continues to provide counsel to clients in the technology sector and more specifically programming, software analysis and development, operating system (Windows, *nix, Android), embedded systems, database design and implementation, data obfuscation/encryption, multi-process synchronization, distributed networking, graphics processing, content delivery, signal analysis, and antivirus and antimalware applications. Harrell, registered with the USPTO, also has experience working with hardware components, such as CPUs, GPUs and computer systems in general, as well as working with medical devices.
Before pursuing a career in law, Harrell served as a software engineer at EchoStar and Comcast. He received his J.D. from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, and his B.S. from Colorado State University.
