LAS VEGAS (December 21, 2022) – Lewis Roca received multiple awards presented during the annual Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada 2022 Pro Bono awards ceremony.

The firm was the recipient of the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada’s 2022 Lied Award for the most pro bono cases accepted by a law firm for the sixth consecutive year. Lewis Roca lawyers represented and handled 16 new pro bono cases in a variety of areas of the law, including appeals, children’s advocacy cases, consumer, and landlord-tenant. Additionally, the firm was recognized for its participation in the Legal Aid Center’s Ask-a-Lawyer program. The firm also had nine lawyers named on the “honor roll”, a category for those who accepted a new pro bono case during the year which included:

  • Daniel F. Polsenberg
  • Dan R. Waite

One lawyer, Dan Waite, who provided more than 300 hours of pro bono services, was listed in the 100 Hour Club, which recognizes lawyers who provided more than 100 hours of service. Waite was also the recipient of the Vince A. Consul Memorial Pro Bono Award, given in memory of Vince Consul, a longtime advocate for access to justice, which recognizes an attorney who made a substantial commitment to a client with a civil matter.

The Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation dedicated to providing free community legal services to those in need. It has been providing free legal aid for Clark County's low-income residents since 1958.
