Tucson (December 1, 2022) – Lewis Roca announced Patrick Emerson McCormick has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Jewish Family & Children’s Services of Southern Arizona for a three-year term. JFCS is a non-profit agency that provides social and behavioral health services to the Tucson community, including refugee resettlement, counseling, and emergency financial assistance.
McCormick, an Associate in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, has broad experience in the areas of corporate, intellectual property, and emerging industries litigation handling matters for a diverse client base. A Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), McCormick assists clients on how to comply with state and federal data privacy regulations and how to best protect themselves from data breaches, and how to respond if one occurs. He specializes in issues from formation to dissolution including profit sharing, licensing, real estate, and derivative actions.
Prior to joining the firm, McCormick served as Secretary of the P.I.C.O. Neighborhood Council and was the founding CFO of Friends of GALA, a 501(c)(3) for the benefit of an all-girl public STEM school in Los Angeles. McCormick received his J.D. from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law, during which time he worked at the USC IP and Technology Law Clinic and externed for the Honorable Neil W. Bason, C.D. Cal. Bkr. He received his B.S. from Oklahoma State University, cum laude.
