Experienced financial services and capital markets attorneys Paul M. Fogleman and Vanessa Morris have joined Womble Bond Dickinson. Fogleman will practice in the firm’s Raleigh office, while Morris will practice in Atlanta.

Fogleman represents financial institutions and other lenders in a range of lending and finance transactions, including term and revolving facilities, construction facilities, asset-based lending, receivables financing, loan workouts and debt restructuring. He also counsels financial institutions in banking-related regulatory compliance. In addition, Fogleman regularly represents companies in complex commercial real estate transactions. 

Fogleman is active in the Raleigh community, serving as a Board Member of Capital City Clauses and President of the Poe Center for Health Education Board of Directors. He also regularly handles residential closings and general corporate matters on a pro bono basis for Habitat for Humanity of Wake County. 

Morris guides lenders and developers in financing transactions related to multifamily real estate financing. She has extensive experience with Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae financing, low-income housing and historic tax credits, tax exempt bonds, Federal Home Loan Bank AHP funds, and state/local HOME funds. Morris also guides financial institutions and other lenders in other complex lending transactions, including bridge, construction, term and commercial mortgage backed securities (CMBS) loans. 

Morris is well-connected in the Southeast’s commercial real estate lending community as well as in area organizations for legal professionals. For example, she is a member of the Georgia Affordable Housing Coalition and the Women’s Affordable Housing Network.

They join Womble Bond Dickinson’s Financial Services Sector Team, which is comprised of more than 200 lawyers in the US and UK focused on providing exceptional client service to banks and other financial institution clients across all of their transactional, regulatory and litigation needs.
