Last month, Womble Carlyle announced plans to open a new office in Boston—the firm’s first in the Northeast and New England.

That office opened on Sept. 1 and Boston Office Managing Partner Sarah Keefe spoke with "Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly" to discuss the firm’s interest in Boston and why this move makes sense for Womble Carlyle and the firm’s clients.

“We identified 140 of our top 500 clients that had an established Boston presence, so it just made a lot of sense for us to be here to service those clients,” she tells "Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly."

Keefe also discussed the firm’s long-standing commitment to value, including a willingness to work with clients on alternative fee structures. And she said the firm is looking to be a magnet for top talent in the Boston region.

“We’re very much interested in growing our office and tapping into that Boston legal talent,” she said.
