Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Chris Geis is many things. He’s a civil litigation lawyer in the firm’s Winston-Salem, N.C. office who defends local governments and public officials. But that’s just the beginning.

Chris also is a published fiction writer and a former journalist with a passion for sharing stories. He enjoys putting pen to paper, whether that is drafting a legal brief, writing an op-ed to the local newspaper or creating a short story.

Chris comes from a military family and has long been an admirer the selflessness and sacrifice of the World War II generation. So it should be no surprise that for years, he has balanced Navy service with his legal career, even serving two active-duty deployments in the Persian Gulf. Chris holds the rank of Commander in the Navy Reserves JAG Corps, and his military experience strongly influences his practice as a Womble Carlyle lawyer.
