Womble Bond Dickinson attorney John Perry was among the speakers at the Restrictive Covenants and Trade Secrets in Georgia CLE event. Perry spoke on “Choice of Law, Venue and Other Procedural Issues in Restrictive Covenant Litigation” at the CLE.

The Restrictive Covenants and Trade Secrets in Georgia CLE event was presented by the State Bar of Georgia’s Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE) and took place Jan. 10 in Atlanta. Other topics discussed included:

  • “Restrictive Covenants in Employment and Other Agreements”;
  • “Trade Secrets, Confidential Information and Computer Fraud & Abuse”;
  • “Forensic Investigations and E-Discovery in Restrictive Covenant Litigation”;
  • “Mediation/Settlement of the Restrictive Covenant Case”; and
  • “Litigation and ADR Strategies in Restrictive Covenant Disputes”.

John Perry is business litigator who helps business clients address and resolve commercial disputes, including cases involving the Uniform Commercial Code and other consumer protection statutes, securities fraud claims, and allegations of breaches of fiduciary duty. In addition, he counsels clients on disputes involving trade secrets, employee defections and restrictive covenants (non-competition, non-solicitation, and non-piracy agreements).
