ATLANTA—Womble Carlyle attorneys James Connelly and Eric Glidewell were presenters at the Association of Corporate Counsel Georgia Chapter Luncheon, which drew more than 100 in-house counsel in the Atlanta area.  Their program topic was “Getting it Right When it All Goes Wrong: Implementing a Successful Compliance Program and Leading Management Through an Internal Investigation.”

Connelly and Glidewell discussed practical tips on how in-house counsel can lead management through the internal investigation process, including the Board’s role, audit committee oversight and other important issues. They also addressed the policies and procedures every company should have in place before the crisis hits, and how lawyers can encourage senior management and directors to support them.
