Ben Busboom, Dietrich Hoefner to Have Key Roles at FNREL Special Institute

Womble Bond Dickinson Partner Ben Busboom is serving as Program Co-Chair for the Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law (FNREL) Special Institute on Meeting the Demand: Behind the Meter, Microgrids, and Other Creative Power Supply Solutions.
Busboom and other organizers will offer introductions and opening remarks at the event, which takes place October 8-9 in Denver.
In addition, Womble Bond Dickinson Partner Dietrich Hoefner will speak at the event. Hoefner and Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc. Vice President for Planning & Analytics Matt Fitzgibbon will discuss “Utility Integration and Challenges.” This presentation will examine the integration of new energy resources under utility planning regimes and will explore the legal issues implicated by privately developed energy sources. It also will address recent legislative and regulatory developments related to non-utility generation.
This two-day FNREL Special Institute will assemble leading attorneys, in-house counsel, utility executives, independent system operators, and energy developers to explore the full spectrum of creative power supply solutions and address the novel legal and regulatory issues.
