CHARLOTTE, NC—Taber Cathcart is a leader in her community, in the legal profession, and at her firm. In recognition of her leadership, the Charlotte Business Journal has honored Cathcart as a 2020 Women in Business Achievement Award winner.

Cathcart is the co-leader of Womble Bond Dickinson’s Financial Services Team, which guides banks, credit unions, financial services providers, and asset and wealth managers in complex commercial, regulatory, dispute resolution (including litigation, arbitration and mediation), bankruptcy/restructuring, and transactional matters. The Financial Services Team includes more than 200 attorneys and staff members across the US and UK. In addition, she plays a key role as thought leader for the firm’s LIBOR Transition team.

Cathcart is a resilient deal maker and negotiator and stands out among the best lawyers in banking in the Southeast. Financial institutions, investment firms and other clients rely on her to guide them through complex debt transactions, including acquisition finance, real estate and working capital credit facilities.

In the community, Cathcart devotes a significant amount of time towards developing and advancing the arts and volunteering for non-profits in the Charlotte region. She is the Chair-Elect for the Board of Trustees for the Charlotte Ballet, immediate Past Chair of Child Care Resources, Inc., and is a previous Board Member of Leadership Charlotte. She is also an active participant in the Women of Womble Bond Dickinson (WOW) quarterly networking events for female members of the business community in Charlotte.

The 2020 Women in Business Achievement Award winners will be honored at a Feb. 24 awards event in Charlotte and profiled in an upcoming edition of the Charlotte Business Journal.
