The Womble Bond Dickinson family mourns the loss of Charleston Partner Johnny Warren, who passed away March 14.
Johnny joined the firm’s Charleston, S.C. Office in 2014. By that point, he already was one of South Carolina’s most respected corporate transactions and real estate attorneys, having served as lead counsel in many significant deals. Before joining Womble, Johnny helped lead Warren & Sinkler, a highly successful Charleston-based boutique firm.
Johnny also was a long-time community leader. He served on the Board of Directors for both Roper Hospital and Spoleto Festival USA and served as President of the Boards of Historic Charleston Foundation and College of Charleston Foundation. In addition, he served as the President of the Board of Directors for the Charleston Symphony Orchestra on two separate occasions.
The obituary can be found here and The Post and Courier's article on Johnny can be found here. A visitation for Johnny will be held at Fleet Landing Restaurant on Thursday March 17th, from 4:00pm – 6:00pm. The funeral will be on Sunday, March 20th at 2:00pm at Magnolia Cemetery in Charleston.
Womble Bond Dickinson extends our deepest condolences to Johnny’s wife, Helen, their children—Weesie, John, and Caroline—and Johnny’s extended family and friends during this difficult time.
