Sally qualified as a solicitor in September 2017 and specialises in charity law and governance. Sally has experience in advising a broad range of charities on issues including governance and constitutional matters, contractual and operational matters and charity incorporation and restructuring.
Sally has assisted with the administration and governance of grant-making charities. She has also advised on the charity law implications of land transactions on the purchase, sale and mortgaging of charity land.
Examples of experience include advising:
- Assisting in the provision of advice and support to an unincorporated charity with permanent endowment on the process of incorporation
- Advising a range of charities with varied legal structures on constitutional reviews and amendments
- Engaging with the Charity Commission on behalf of clients to obtain regulatory consents for a broad range of matters
- Supporting a religious charity in updating its investment framework.
