Ryan is an experienced civil litigation attorney who focuses on product liability defense. His practice particularly focuses on developing medical and scientific defense strategies and preparing expert witnesses for deposition and trial. Since 2014, he has been a member of more than 35 trial teams representing tobacco manufacturers in personal injury and wrongful death jury trials.
Ryan has experience in all aspects of case preparation and trial, including conducting legal research, offensive and defensive discovery, briefing and motions practice, depositions, and trial. He works to resolve disputes for his clients by thoroughly analyzing medical and scientific issues and formulating judicious and cost-effective case strategies and defenses. Ryan works closely with experts in a wide array of specialties, including addiction medicine, cardiology, mechanical engineering, oncology, pulmonology, radiology, and urology, to develop complex scientific defenses and present them to juries in an understandable and persuasive manner. He also has extensive experience creating and developing demonstratives for use at trial to effectively convey complicated legal and scientific concepts to juries.
