*Lidiya Kurin is not licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia. She is supervised by attorneys licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia.

Lidiya focuses her practice on advising companies and individuals in a wide variety of government contracting and export control matters including import and trade controls, foreign investment, export compliance, international business transactions, foreign ownership, control and influence reviews by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), and government contracting compliance.

Lidiya has worked with clients from various sectors, including technology, engineering, manufacturing, aerospace and defense, and life sciences. She has worked with companies specializing in software and cloud development, electronics, aircraft manufacturing, 3D printing, and electronic manufacturing. In addition to providing guidance on compliance with regulatory requirements under government contracts and grants, Lidiya has also assisted clients with their cross-border transactions, including compliance with US export, import, and trade controls. Lidiya’s experience includes advising companies on compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations, the Export Administration Regulations, the Anti-boycott regulations, the Foreign Assets Controls Regulations, and the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Lidiya has also advised clients on import tariff classifications, country of origin determinations, and Generalized System of Preferences (“GSP”) eligibility. 

Prior to law school, Lidiya worked as a paralegal for a construction-focused law firm in New York City, assisting attorneys with construction trials, arbitrations, and project developments. In addition to her law firm experience, during law school Lidiya interned at the United States Court of Federal Claims, working on matters relating to tax policies and government contracts. Lidiya is proficient in Russian.
