Eryn Brasovan is committed to helping clients achieve their business goals by delivering practical guidance in consideration of evolving regulatory landscapes and industry trends. Prior to joining the firm, she was General Counsel for one of North America’s largest insurance premium finance lenders for nearly 15 years and brings firsthand insight into the operational demands of running a business. In this role, Eryn developed the skills to break down complex legal concepts into action items for her business partners.
Captive Insurance
Eryn advises clients on a variety of matters involving captive insurance companies, including formation, licensing, regulatory compliance, governance, and ongoing operations. She assists clients in navigating the legal and regulatory frameworks governing captive insurance, leveraging her experience with leading captive domiciles to help clients develop tailored risk management strategies. As a member of a dedicated captive insurance practice, Eryn benefits from and contributes to a team with deep collective experience, including captive management. She is a frequent speaker on captive insurance topics and participates on committees of the Captive Insurance Companies Association (CICA) and the Vermont Captive Insurance Association.
Insurance Regulation
Eryn guides businesses, insurance producers, and other insurance industry participants through a broad range of insurance regulatory matters. She assists clients with licensing, regulatory filings, corporate transactions, and other compliance matters. Her experience across multiple jurisdictions equips Eryn to provide strategic guidance on complex and often overlapping state insurance laws. Eryn stays attuned to developments in the insurance regulatory landscape, enabling her to provide forward-looking counsel.
Premium Finance
Eryn served for over a decade as the member-elected President of the National Premium Finance Association, a not-for-profit corporation that serves as the national trade association for property and casualty insurance premium finance lenders. Through a team of lawyers, the firm advises a full range of participants operating in the insurance premium finance space, including premium finance companies, agents and brokers, fintech and insurtech companies, lenders and other capital sources for premium finance companies, and premium finance software providers. The firm advises clients on regulation and compliance, legislative and regulatory monitoring, operations, obtaining and renewing sources of capital, mergers and acquisitions and related due diligence, collateral enhancement, support and protection, fraud detection and related policies, and collection and enforcement of loans both in and out of court and in bankruptcy proceedings.
