As part of the firm’s General Counsel’s Office, Emily Melvin works as Associate General Counsel and supports the firm’s ethics and professional responsibility efforts. Emily advises the firm on legal issues involving conflicts of interest in the course of client representation and lateral and personnel hiring.
As a previous litigation associate, her experience includes work in several areas, such as, medical malpractice defense, higher education, complex business litigation, construction litigation, employment disputes, personal injury, insurance defense and product liability. Her litigation knowledge allows Emily to practically approach ethical issues and find solutions.
Emily has vast experience in legal research and management and is fluent in conversational Spanish.
