Charlotte works closely with our Partner Lead for Responsible Business to shape and deliver the firm's Responsible Business strategy while coordinating activity across the business. She leads the Responsible Business Working Group and is responsible for responding to client requests, sustainability questionnaires and the firm's annual EcoVadis submission, as well as reporting on our progress as a signatory to the UN Global Compact.

A key part of Charlotte's role is leading the firm's community engagement activity, including volunteering, fundraising, pro bono, match funding and overseeing the work of the WBD Foundation to maximise positive impact for the communities in which the firm operates.

Recent highlights include:

  • Launching the WBD Foundation's first formal grant funding programme, attracting 260 applications in its inaugural round
  • Leading the implementation of the firm's first social value reporting platform, enabling the capture of £3 million social value in its first year, establishing a network of contributors and embedding social value reporting across the business
  • Strengthening the firm's approach to client sustainability and responsible business requirements, ensuring high-quality responses to an increasing volume of client requests and questionnaires
  • Driving continuous improvement in the firm's responsible business performance and year-on-year improvement in our EcoVadis scoring, progressing from Bronze to Gold accreditation.

This role involves bringing together colleagues from across the firm to turn strategic commitments into meaningful and measurable action, ensuring Responsible Business remains embedded in how WBD supports its people, clients, communities and the environment.
