Brian W. Thomas

Brian focuses on insurance and reinsurance transactions, including the formation, organization and governance of captive insurance companies and other special purpose entities. He negotiates reinsurance agreements and performs regulatory due diligence on insurance program managers, captive insurance managers, brokers and other entities that operate in the insurance space. Outside the insurance context, Brian counsels clients on corporate governance matters and a variety of transactions, including venture capital investments. Brian is a member of the firm’s Public Company Advisory Team, a multi-office team of corporate, capital markets, and tax attorneys who serve the Firm’s public company clients.

While in law school, Brian was as member of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission’s Student Honors Program and a legal intern at a multinational investment bank. Prior to law school, Brian worked for several years in finance and accounting.
