Andi McDonald is an experienced commercial and construction litigation attorney, representing clients in complex, high-stakes disputes in state and federal courts as well as arbitration. She has tried multi-million-dollar construction cases and successfully argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

Andi litigates a broad range of commercial disputes, including business torts, intellectual property, unfair competition, product and premises liability, government contracting, and multi-district litigation. Andi brings particular depth in construction litigation, where she serves as a trusted advisor to developers, owners, contractors, and design professionals across the commercial, energy, infrastructure, and multi-family housing industries. She handles cases involving change order and payment disputes, differing site conditions, delay and acceleration claims, and design and construction defects.

With a practical, business-minded approach to disputes, Andi leads matters from contract drafting and negotiation through complex e-discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, trial, and appeals. She also counsels clients on risk mitigation and early resolution strategies.

Outside the courtroom, Andi is a frequent author and speaker. She serves as Associate Editor of the American Bar Association's Litigation News, where she has published more than ten articles, including feature and cover stories. Andi actively contributes to the ABA Forum on Construction Law, having co-authored a paper and coordinated multiple sessions at the Forum’s national meetings.
