From start-ups and universities to Fortune 100 corporations, Allison Ko supports clients in efficiently managing their intellectual property portfolios without losing sight of the broader context of their business. She has extensive experience managing global patent and trademark portfolios, including drafting and prosecuting domestic and international patent and trademark applications, preparing infringement opinions and validity analysis of patents, negotiating and drafting license agreements, and providing patent-related opinions of counsel.
Before law school, Allison attended Virginia Commonwealth University, earning Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in biomedical engineering. This background inspired her technical focus on medical devices, wearables, surgical and infection prevention products, drug delivery systems, pharmaceuticals, and regenerative medicine.
