Christine Burns-Brown

Christine Burns-Brown is a commercial litigator whose practice focuses on bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, and financial services litigation. She represents national lenders, financial institutions, loan servicers, and other creditors in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy proceedings, adversary proceedings, contested matters, and related state and federal court litigation. Her clients rely on her to develop practical strategies that protect collateral, preserve claims, and efficiently resolve disputes while advancing their business objectives.

Christine brings more than a decade of courtroom experience to her bankruptcy practice. She has represented clients through every stage of litigation—from pre-suit negotiations and dispositive motions to mediations, arbitrations, bench trials, and jury trials—in both state and federal courts. Licensed in Alabama and Florida, she has represented plaintiffs and defendants across a broad range of complex commercial and civil matters.

Christine’s current practice centers on bankruptcy litigation and creditors’ rights. She regularly represents secured and unsecured creditors in matters involving plan confirmation, objections to claims, motions for relief from stay, valuation disputes, lien enforcement, nondischargeability actions, avoidance litigation, adversary proceedings, and other contested bankruptcy matters. She also advises clients on strategies for recovering collateral, maximizing recoveries, and navigating insolvency-related disputes both inside and outside the bankruptcy courts.

Before concentrating her practice on bankruptcy, Christine developed a broad litigation background representing municipalities, businesses, insurers, and individuals in commercial disputes, breach of contract actions, title litigation, product liability, personal injury, consumer finance litigation, and claims arising under the FDCPA and TCPA. That diverse experience enables her to evaluate complex legal issues from multiple perspectives and advocate effectively when bankruptcy matters evolve into high-stakes litigation.
