Womble Bond Dickinson is the transatlantic law firm close to home, having served clients in the US for more than 140 years.

The firm’s American predecessor, Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice LLP, was established in Winston-Salem, N.C. in 1876. Today, Womble Bond Dickinson includes more than 1,000 attorneys in 26 US and UK locations, representing 250+ publicly traded companies.

 

A Brief History of Womble Bond Dickinson  

One year ago, the UK’s Bond Dickinson and US firm Womble Carlyle officially joined forces, creating Womble Bond Dickinson. The combination was the result of careful, long-term planning by both firms, but, still, such a radical change represented a major leap of faith for attorneys on both continents.

That faith was justified. After one year, Womble Bond Dickinson and its clients have enjoyed numerous and notable successes. Some of the highlights include:
