Womble Bond Dickinson Partners Joe Whitley and Luke Cass will take part in a Federal Bar Association panel discussion on “FCPA & FEPA - One Year In: How Criminalizing the Demand Side of Foreign Bribery Has Changed FCPA Enforcement.” The Webinar discussion will be held from 2-3 p.m. EST on Tuesday, December 17.

On December 14, 2023, Congress enacted the Foreign Extortion Prevention Act (FEPA), for the first time criminalizing the demand side of international bribery and imposing criminal liability on foreign government actors who solicit or accept bribes from companies or individuals subject to United States jurisdiction.

In this Webinar, the D.C. Chapter and the Criminal Law Section of the Federal Bar Association will present an all-star panel to discuss how the Department of Justice has implemented FEPA, and how FEPA has impacted Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) enforcement in the United States.

Joining Whitley and Cass will be Sidley Austin attorney Ellen Crisham Pellegrini and Charles Duross of Morrison Foerster.
