David Contreiras Tyler Named One of Latin America’s Top 100 Lawyers by Latinvex

Latinvex has named Womble Bond Dickinson Partner David Contreiras Tyler to its Latin America’s Top 100 Lawyers rankings for 2025. David is recognized in the Capital Markets category.

The 13th annual Latin America’s Top 100 Lawyers list includes 100 attorneys from 58 law firms — major firms as well as boutique firms — and highlights 15 categories. The criteria used was a combination of factors, including recent track record on major deals and business, prominence of firm in Latin America and rankings by third parties such as Chambers and Partners, Legal 500 and LSEG.

David Contreiras Tyler has extensive experience advising issuers, project sponsors, underwriters, initial purchasers, placement agents, and investors on public and private offerings of debt and equity securities, with a focus on capital markets and securitization transactions originating in Latin America. He is adept at structuring and advising on a wide range of financing solutions for corporate, sovereign, multilateral development, and financial institution clients.

A dual U.S. and Brazilian national, David has native fluency in English and Portuguese and a cultural understanding of Latin America that enables him to provide effective counsel in transactions involving regional institutions in a variety of industry sectors.
