For government contractors, 2019 continued to see numerous and significant legal developments. Our panel discussion reviewed the statutory, regulatory, policy, and case law developments which impact the risks for those doing business with the federal government. 

Our topics included: 

  • The continued development of cybersecurity requirements for government contracts;
  • How contractors are dealing with cybersecurity and other issues, such as the Huawei ban, in their supply chain;
  • A review of significant bid protest issues; and
  • Contracting trends that will impact 2020, such as regulations and directives impacting small businesses and contract consolidation. 

The panel also discussed 2019’s M&A activity in the ADG Sector (Aerospace, Defense, and Government Services), and what issues may impact M&A in 2020.
