Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Jeff Simpson will present on "Captive Advocacy Engagement: Changing the Narrative" at the Self-Insurance Institute of America's (SIIA) 40th Annual National Conference and Expo. The SIIA National Conference & Expo is the world’s largest event focused exclusively on the self-insurance/captive insurance marketplace and typically attracts more than 1,700 attendees from around the United States and from a growing number of countries around the world.
This session will explore the role of, and solicit input on, SIIA member advocacy activities with policymakers and regulators on behalf of enterprise risk captives in the current environment. This interactive panel will discuss the impacts of recent IRS activities, court cases and legislation, and discuss specifically how industry participants and owners can shape the narrative moving forward. The panel will also solicit audience ideas and involvement as to how to better demonstrate appropriate risk management solutions and increase stakeholder involvement.
