Zachary Bernstein is a member of the firm's Business Litigation group. His practice includes internal investigations, government enforcement matters, and related civil litigation.

After graduating from law school, Zachary served as a law clerk to the Honorable William H. Pauley III of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

  • Represented biotechnology company in investigations by Department of Justice and Securities and Exchange Commission.
  • Conducted internal investigations on behalf of client involving allegations of bribery and violations of company policy in Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kazakhstan, and the Czech Republic. Advised client on implementation of compliance policies in response to investigative findings.
  • Represented leading multinational financial services firm and asset manager in connection with regulatory inquiries and related civil litigation.
  • Represented medical benefits provider in investigation by Department of Labor.
  • Conducted internal investigation on behalf of global food and beverage company involving allegations of bribery and embezzlement. At the completion of the investigation, advised the client on implementation of compliance policies and improvement of internal controls.
  • Conducted compliance and due diligence research on behalf of private equity clients in connection with portfolio company acquisitions.
  • Represented clients in asylum application proceedings.
  • Represented incarcerated individual as appointed counsel in the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
