WASHINGTON, DC—The 23rd Annual Human Rights Campaign National Dinner is one of the biggest events of the year for LGBTQ equality, with more than 3,600 people from all walks of life gathering in support of equal rights. And once again, Womble Bond Dickinson was proud to be part of this effort.
A team consisting of attorneys Lela Ames, Debbie Israel, Louis Rouleau, and Jeff Tarkenton represented the firm at the National Dinner. They were joined by firm guests Laurie McMahon (Cushman & Wakefield), Jennifer Mangus (Dominion Energy), Michelle Martinez (Sentara Healthcare), Anne Milem (Sallie Mae Bank), Todd Yost (Consultant), Ann Thompson (Private Real Estate client), Melissa Lauderdale-Ward (Exelon), and Aiden Ward.
This year’s guest speakers included US Sen. Chuck Schumer, recording artist Ricky Martin, actor Jake Choi (Single Parents), NFL football player Ryan Russell, and actress Dominique Jackson (Pose).
The Human Rights Campaign is America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender equality. By inspiring and engaging all Americans, HRC strives to end discrimination against LGBTQ citizens and realize a nation that achieves fundamental fairness and equality for all.
Womble Bond Dickinson has earned a perfect score of 100 on the HRC’s Corporate Equality Index each of the past five years, and is designated as a “Best Place to Work” for LGBTQ equality by the HRC.
