Xuezhen (Chad) Tian is a registered patent attorney in the firm’s Silicon Valley office, where he focuses his practice on preparing and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications in software and electronic arts.  He also provides intellectual property counseling and litigation support.  

Chad represents clients of all sizes, from startups to some of the world's largest technology companies. He is well versed in programming languages, middleware application servers, operating systems, cloud services, database management, big data, machine learning, blockchain and Internet technologies. 

Prior to practicing law, Chad worked as a software engineer and senior technical consultant, building enterprise applications for and providing consulting services to several Fortune 500 companies. A native Mandarin speaker, he also spent several years as a staff editor in the International Department at Xinhua News Agency in Beijing.
