Srikanth Jandhyala is an associate in the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group. Srikanth focuses his practice on patent prosecution, primarily in the computer and electrical technology areas. Srikanth also assesses IP portfolio value, harvests new inventions, analyzes competitor IP landscape, evaluates litigation risks, and counsels clients on future strategic options for companies involving artificial intelligence fields, cybersecurity, and digital health.

Before joining Womble Bond Dickson and during law school, Srikanth was at a national IP boutique firm, Finnegan Henderson LLP, working on patent prosecution and litigation, including PTAB and district court litigation.

Prior to law school, Srikanth worked as a software engineer for several biotechnology and social media companies, building complex web applications and frameworks. While working at Life Technologies Corp., Srikanth developed a software platform to identify and visualize DNA variants in sequencing data. A provisional patent application was filed for the tools and processes.

  • Drafted and prosecuted patents for utility and design patent applications in the fields of AI/ML, AR/VR, NLP, cybersecurity, software developer frameworks, web services, and digital health in the US, Europe, and major Asian jurisdictions.
  • Led client discussions as the resident expert, prepared new license agreements for the release of client software as open-source, assessed IP rights risks, and reviewed software license agreements with third parties, including the source code.
